Normal water usage may resume immediately.
A boil water notice issued June 17 has been lifted effective immediately at the following addresses:
- 1002 to 1208 and 1301 to 1304 S. 2nd Street
- 100 to 113 Prather Drive
- 105 to 205 E. Vardeman Avenue
A water main break interrupted water service and necessitated a boil water order.
Water quality tests have been completed, and the water is safe to drink and use without boiling.
TCEQ Required Notice:
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality the City of Killeen public water system to issue a Boil Water Notice June 17, 2020 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The City of Killeen public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of June 20, 2020 at5X p.m.
