KILLEEN, Texas (Sept. 30, 2025) – The City of Killeen Municipal Court is excited to announce the launch of a new youth program, the Killeen Teen Court. This program offers a unique opportunity for teens interested in law, public speaking, and courtroom dynamics. It empowers young leaders by allowing them to take on essential roles in the judicial process, including prosecutor, defense attorney, bailiff, and juror.
Interested teens are invited to attend a training session on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Killeen Municipal Court, located at 200 E. Avenue D.
"Killeen Teen Court is more than just a program; it's a launching pad for the next generation of leaders," said Judge Kris Krishna. "Through engaging experiences in real courtroom settings and mock trials, our youth will not only learn the law but also gain the confidence and skills needed to advocate for themselves and their communities."
Killeen Teen Court offers a genuine courtroom experience where local teens handle juvenile cases. It is designed for Killeen teens eager to enhance their debate, critical thinking, public speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills. Participants will work alongside legal professionals and learn the intricacies of courtroom procedures while making a positive impact in their community.
