The City of Killeen’s Animal Services is holding an Open Hearts Pet Food Drive through February 14th, ensuring no pet in the community goes hungry. The two-week initiative welcomes both donations from community members and provides food assistance to families experiencing pet food insecurity.
During the drive community members are encouraged to donate dog food, cat food or special treats, which will go to pets in need of assistance.
If your pet is in need of assistance, bring your pet’s proof of microchipping to the shelter. If your pet is not microchipped, animal services will provide free microchipping during the drive.
