KILLEEN, Texas (Jan. 13, 2026) – The annual Martin Luther King Jr. March will take place Monday, Jan. 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. in historic downtown Killeen. The event has been on the City Council’s list of supported community events since 2019, with the city providing operational assistance.
The march brings together residents, community leaders and local organizations to honor Dr. King’s legacy and reflect on his message of nonviolence, justice and civic engagement.
The event is sponsored by the NAACP Killeen Youth Council #6777. Participants will line up at 8 a.m. outside Killeen City Hall, with the march stepping off at 9 a.m. The march will start in front of City Hall on N. College Street, proceed down E. Avenue D to N. 8th Street, continue to N. Gray Street, and end on E. Avenue C.
It is open to the public and welcomes all ages.
