KILLEEN, Texas (Nov. 25, 2025) – The City of Killeen’s Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Cen-Tex, its annual Half Mara-Fun on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 8 a.m., the final event in the 2025 Cen-Tex Race Series. The 13.1-mile race will take place at the Purser Heritage Hike and Bike Trail, 8001 Pyrite Drive.
Registration is open through Tuesday, Dec. 16 at www.killeentexas.gov/centex. The first 100 registered runners are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Medals will be awarded to the top male and female overall, the top three male and female finishers in each age group, and all runners who complete the half marathon. To receive a finisher medal, participants must register before Dec. 16.
“This race is always a highlight of the series because it brings out both seasoned runners and people challenging themselves with their first half marathon,” said Alaciel Maldonado, Recreation Coordinator. “It’s become a milestone event for our running community, and we’re excited to close out the year with positive finish.”
The Half Mara-Fun concludes the Cen-Tex Race Series, which will wrap up with an annual banquet on Thursday, Jan. 8, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, 3601 S. WS Young Drive. The banquet will celebrate runners’ achievements and mark the end of another successful season.
