Normal water usage may resume immediately.
A boil water notice issued May 18 and effective May 19, 2020 has been lifted effective immediately
for properties at the following addresses:
- 4015, 4201, 4203, 4213, 4217 and 4307 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard
- 548 53rd Street
- 512 through 539 54th Street
- 502 through 535 56th Street
Scheduled replacement of a fire hydrant and valve on 54th Street required interrupting water service and necessitated a boil water order.
Water quality tests have been completed, and the water is safe to drink and use without boiling.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality the City of Killeen public water system to issue a Boil Water Notice May 18, 2020 effective May 19, 2020 to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The City of Killeen public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of May 21, 2020.
