Killeen residents should expect delays in curbside brush collection.
The City of Killeen Solid Waste Division is assisting the City of Copperas Cove in its storm damage recovery efforts. Regular trash collection schedules will not be affected, but regular brush collection will be delayed over the next two weeks as a result of this aid.
Brush may be left curbside without penalty until schedules allow for its removal. Alternately, brush may be taken to the Transfer Station, located at 12200 SH 195. Residents receive disposal of up to 300 pounds of excess waste per household once per month by presenting a current utility bill. A fee of $3.08 applies to each additional 100 pounds.
The City of Killeen apologizes for inconveniences caused by this delay in service and appreciates your patience as we assist our neighbor city.
