Program aims to develop new generation of volunteers to meet community needs.
Killeen Volunteers, Inc. and the Youth Advisory Commission are working to develop a new generation of volunteers and will host Youth Volunteer Orientation June 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Killeen Community Center, 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
The free, two-hour session is for young people going into 4th to 12th grades and their parents. Participants will learn about volunteerism, community volunteer programs for youth and opportunities to serve.
