City staff trains for emergencies to help reduce impacts and speed recovery.
The City of Killeen is conducting a regional emergency exercise May 7 to allow personnel to practice emergency response. Volunteers are needed.
The exercise will involve an emergency scenario that personnel must respond to and manage. To make the simulation more realistic, volunteers are needed to portray the roles of victims, family members and media. No acting experience is necessary, but actors must be at least 18 years of age.
Volunteers must be able to participate Tuesday, May 7, from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pre-registration is required by April 24 at forms.gle/FtJE2aKV8vXwXB5e7. Selected volunteers will be notified by April 29.
