Programs of Austin’s Thinkery designed to make learning math and science fun.
Killeen Public Library is bringing Brain Blast, a new interactive learning event, to Killeen Special Events Center Saturday, March 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Brain Blast is designed to showcase math and science in exciting and engaging ways. Presenters from Austin’s Thinkery are bringing Mad Science and MathHappens presentations and experiments to Killeen for the day. All ages are invited to participate in hands-on activities that will stimulate learning.
“We want to present educational material in a way that is easy to understand,” says Library Director Deanna Frazee. “Brain Blast ditches the textbooks to offer exciting activities and give insight into how we use math and science in everyday life.”
Killeen Public Library has two locations. The Main Library is open Monday through Saturday at 205 E. Church Avenue. Copper Mountain Branch is open Monday through Saturday at 3000 S. WS Young Drive. More information about hours and programs is available at KilleenTexas.gov/Libraries.
