KILLEEN, Texas (Jan. 27, 2026) - The City of Killeen Solid Waste Division is closed today due to the continued impacts of inclement weather and to ensure the safety of employees. Normal operations are expected to resume tomorrow, Jan. 28.
As a result of today’s closure, residential trash collection routes will be adjusted as follows:
- Monday customers → picked up Wednesday
- Tuesday customers → picked up Thursday
- Thursday customers → picked up Friday
- Friday customers → picked up Saturday
The City of Killeen appreciates residents’ patience and understanding as crews work to safely complete all scheduled collections.
Residents are encouraged to place trash at the curb by 7 a.m. on the adjusted collection day. For additional information, visit killeentexas.gov/solidwaste or contact the Solid Waste Division at 254-501-7785. Residents may sign up for emergency and city alerts at www.killeentexas.gov/notifyme.
