KILLEEN, Texas (July 5, 2024) – The City of Killeen’s Department of Public Works’ Water and Sewer division will close Highland Avenue at Rev. R.A. Abercrombie Drive, and the northbound turning lane of R.A. Abercrombie onto Longview Street, on Wednesday, July 10, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., weather permitting.
The closure is so crews can install new water lines in the area.
There will be a series of traffic control devices in place to guide motor vehicles around the work zone and closure. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, obey traffic control devices and consider an alternate route during street maintenance.
It is very important that all vehicles obey the traffic control devices for the safety of the citizens and employees. All schedules are based on weather and may be changed.
