KILLEEN, Texas (May 10, 2024) – The City of Killeen’s Engineering division has announced the closure of the far-right outside, eastbound lane of Elms Road between Robinett Road and Tallwood Drive from Monday, May 13 to Friday, May 17, from 9a.m. – 3p.m., weather permitting.
The area will be closed to through traffic so that a contractor can perform boring. This is not a City of Killeen-sponsored project, although the contractor does have the appropriate permits to do this work.
Service core utility locates were performed and personnel and equipment must enter the roadway to complete the work.
The contractor will have traffic guided around the work site. Motorists should anticipate delays and are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
