The third annual Killeen Fire Department Open House will be held this Saturday, Oct. 14, from 4-7 p.m. at the Central Fire Station (201 South 28th Street).
The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet with Killeen firefighters as they educate the community. There will also be basic first aid tips provided, an obstacle course for youth, vehicle tours and demos, a demonstration on how quickly a fire can spread, a visit from Sparky the fire dog, and much, much more.
All activities are weather permitting.
The event coincides with Fire Prevention Week, which is Oct. 8 – Oct. 14.
