Road markings will improve mobility and safety.

The City of Killeen will be restriping a number of area streets October 1 through November 14. The project will replace pavement markings to improve mobility and safety.

The following street segments are scheduled for improvement:

Elms Road                   from Robinett Road to SH 201

Robinett Road              from Elms Road to Watercrest Road

Florence Road             from Jasper Drive to Hallmark Avenue

Fowler Avenue                        from Trimmier Road to Florence Road

Lake Road                   from N. 38th Street to N. WS Young Drive

Westcliff Road                        from Rancier Avenue to 60th Street

Twin Creek Drive        from Veterans Memorial Boulevard to Rancier Avenue

Bacon Ranch Road      from Little Nolan Road to Trimmier Road; OW Curry Drive to WS Young Drive

Little Nolan Road        from S. WS Young Drive to Bacon Ranch Road

Work will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be completed in two separate stages. First is removal and replacement of current markings. Second is finishing work to include specialized markings and raised and reflective elements.

Motorists should anticipate workers in these areas and obey traffic control devices to guide vehicles around and through work areas. Alternate routes are encouraged.

The City of Killeen apologizes for inconveniences caused by this work and appreciates your cooperation as we improve the safety of these roadways.
