Killeen City Council will be making appointments to various boards and commissions. Citizens are encouraged to apply by September 7.
The City of Killeen appoints citizens to 16 boards and commissions, each with unique duties, memberships, qualifications and terms. Some boards meet regularly while some meet intermittently.
Appointments are made each September for terms beginning October 1. Applications not selected remain on file for consideration as vacancies occur.
Boards in most need of applicants are Senior Citizen Advisory, Tree Advisory, Heritage Preservation and Arts Commission. Construction Board of Appeals is in need of specifically qualified applicants who are mechanical, electrical, plumbing or general contractors, architects and engineers.

Completed applications are due to the City Secretary by September 7 but are accepted year-round in the following ways:
