$200K has been allocated and up to $150K is available in funding for youth nonprofits
KILLEEN, Texas (November 30, 2022) – Killeen City Councilmembers requested to reopen grant funding for Killeen nonprofit youth organizations for a second time during Tuesday night’s council workshop. The grant application process will now be open from Dec. 1, 2022 – Feb. 28, 2023.
The City of Killeen Public Facility Corporation Youth Organization Assistance Nonprofit Grant Program first opened in April 2022 and closed in May. Nine youth nonprofits were approved during that round for a total of $90,000.
The second application round opened from June to July 2022 and eleven youth nonprofits were awarded $110,000 through the PFC grant program. A total of $350,000 was originally allocated for this PFC grant, so up $150,000 remains in available funding.
Each applicant was limited to a maximum of $10,000 and there are nine eligibility requirements. Nonprofits selected for funding will not be eligible for additional awards.
The grant assistance is provided to enable the organizations to continue to provide youth programs. Information can be found on the City’s website at www.KilleenTexas.gov/rescueFunding.
