Contributions to senior, animal and youth services now accepted with water bill payments.
July water bills feature a new option for Killeen customers. A box has been added to the upper right corner of paper bills to allow contributions to specific City senior assistance, animal services and summer youth programs. These options are also available through online bill payment.
Contributions can be made in any amount and may be made to one program or multiple by checking the program box and filling in a dollar amount.
Seniors citizen utility bill assistance has been a longstanding option for customers. Funds received are used to provide financial assistance to eligible senior citizens unable to pay their monthly City utility bills.
Animal services is a new option that allows direct contributions to Killeen Animal Shelter. Funds will be used to provide additional support for animal medical care including spay and neuter services.
Summer Youth Program assistance is also a new option. Contributions go directly to Parks & Recreation to provide financial assistance to Killeen children from low income families. Funding will allow qualifying youth to participate in fee-based summer programs at no cost.
There is no contribution requirement or minimum or maximum amount. Recurring contributions can be established for those wishing to give a set amount each billing cycle by completing a form available from Utility Collections.
