The Emergency Management Department of the City of Killeen is rounding out National Preparedness Month with a public service announcement about the importance of subscribing to Code Red Alerts.
Code Red is an emergency notification system and the City is encouraging all citizens to sign up on our website, killeentexas.gov, under the Emergency Management section. There’s a two-minute registration process, then residents are notified of impending disasters or alerts to ensure everyone is kept safe and aware. The alerts come through as texts or email. Residents can also download the Code Red mobile alert app.
