Participation in this warranty program is voluntary.
City of Killeen utility customers may be receiving a mailed solicitation letter from Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA). This is a solicitation for voluntary additional coverages and is not required by the City of Killeen.
All City of Killeen residential sewer customers have access to a program for private sewer line repairs in the public right-of-way. The City has contracted SLWA for this service. Repairs related to residential sewer service line issues that are covered include sewer line leaks, permanent blockages, collapses and root intrusions.
As a condition of the agreement with SLWA to provide right-of-way coverage, the company is permitted to solicit residents with voluntary additional services. Optional services are at the discretion of the resident and would be through an agreement between the individual and SLWA with no City of Killeen involvement. Residents that received the solicitation may use or discard the information.
