Killeen firefighters arrive on scene in just over four minutes.
KILLEEN, Texas (Jan. 25, 2026) – Killeen firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 3400 block of Victoria Court late last night amid ongoing snow and icy conditions.
Killeen Fire Department crews were dispatched to a reported chimney fire at a four-plex residential building. The first unit arrived on scene just over four minutes after the initial dispatch and found fire coming from the chimney and extending into the attic.
All occupants from the four units were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported to residents or firefighters.
The City of Killeen Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, in coordination with the American Red Cross, assisted with relocating the affected families. A total of 11 residents and four pets were displaced by the fire.
The property owner is working with the families today to transition them into more permanent housing. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
