The City of Killeen Solid Waste Division offices will be resuming standard brush pickup beginning Monday, June 17.
As a reminder, residents should adhere to the following guidelines;
- Cut tree limbs/trunks into lengths no more than 12 feet.
- Place pile curbside within three (3) feet of curb by 7 a.m. on your designated trash day.
- Stack brush away from parked vehicles, low hanging wires, fences, mailboxes, sprinkler systems, gas meters etc.
- Brush pile must be free of all other garbage/rubbish. Do not put treated lumber or fence boards in the pile.
- Brush piles more than 6 cubic yards (4ft wide x 4ft high x 12ft long); additional fees apply as per adopted fee schedule.
Following the recent storms, our Solid Waste team assisted in the storm and tornado recovery efforts by clearing streets, assisting residents with extra brush removal, and collecting over 200 tons of debris. We are so thankful for their hard work!
