KILLEEN, Texas (May 16, 2024) – The City of Killeen’s Department of Public Works’ Transportation Division are performing milling and overlay services on the following roadways through June 7:
- WS Young Drive from Illinois Avenue to Rancier Avenue
- WS Young Drive from Rancier Avenue to Westcliff Road
- Westcliff Road from WS Young Drive to 60th Street
The milling and overlay services on WS Young Drive were originally scheduled from May 6 - May 17 from Illinois Avenue to Veterans Memorial Boulevard (Business 190) and the services have been extended to more roads.
The services will take place from 7a.m. – 7p.m., weather permitting.
Various or entire road closures are possible and can occur during repairs, as required for safety of staff. Roads will be open to those who reside in those locations only.
There will be a series of traffic control devices and detours in place to guide motor vehicles around the work zone and closure. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, obey traffic control devices and utilize detours during street maintenance. All schedules are based on weather and subject to change.
