The City of Killeen’s Department of Public Works will have three projects affecting city roads starting Monday, Apil 15.
1. The transportation division will be performing milling and overlay on Trimmier Road from Central Texas Expressway to Hallmark Avenue starting Thursday, April 15 through Friday, April 26, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Work includes completing asphalt overlay and milling services, which will result in various lane closures throughout the day. Entire road closures may also occur during this project.
2. The transportation division will also close the intersection of Fawn Drive and Water Oak Drive from Monday, April 15 starting at 7 a.m. through Monday, April 29 at 3:30 p.m.
This closure is for the installation of a valley gutter. No traffic will be allowed through the intersection for the duration of the project.
3. The engineering division will close the east bound lane of Stagecoach Road from Onion Road to Cunningham Road from Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
This closure is for work on a water main. Traffic will be guided around the work area.
It is very important that all vehicles obey the traffic control devices at each location for the safety of the citizens and employees. Drivers can expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes. All schedules are based on weather and may be changed.
