KILLEEN, Texas (July 25, 2025) - The Lions Club Park Senior Center held its annual Senior Prom on Thursday, July 24, 2025, where residents were crowned the King and Queen of this nostalgic event.
More than 280 seniors gathered at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center for an enchanting evening filled with elegance, music, dancing, and celebration.
"Events like these transform our evenings into a tapestry woven with love and belonging, where our senior citizens’ wisdom is honored, and their presence is deeply cherished, “said Kathryn Winston, Lions Club Park Senior Center Manager. "This space becomes a sanctuary where they feel seen, valued, and intrinsically part of the vibrant community they call home.”
Guests arrived with a glamorous red-carpet entrance, perfectly setting the tone for the night ahead. Inside, they enjoyed a delicious catered meal from TCP Catering, featuring grilled chicken with beurre blanc, white cheddar mashed potatoes, green beans, a fresh salad, and delightful mini cheesecakes and brownie bites. The atmosphere came alive with live music and entertainment from DJ Paul, and attendees participated in fun memories captured by a photo booth courtesy of Centex Mirror. Everyone danced the night away, mingling and reminiscing about treasured moments.
Mayor Debbie Nash-King and City Councilmembers Nina Cobb, Jose Segarra, Riakos Adams, and Joseph Solomon were present to show their support for the senior community. A dazzling moment of the evening was the crowning of the 2025 Prom King, Joseph Pangelinan, and Queen, Rosa Subialdea, as they took the spotlight on the dance floor, embodying the royalty of the night.
For the fourth consecutive year, the annual Senior Prom transcends dancing; it's about creating cherished memories and nurturing connections among our community’s most wonderful members.
