The City of Killeen offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.
Libraries, Senior Center, Family Recreation Center, Recycling Center, Transfer Station and the Solid Waste Administration Building will be closed Jan. 1.
Trash collection services for routes normally served on Thursday will run a day early. All other days will be unaltered. Recycling trailers will be available at the rodeo grounds at 3601 South WS Young Drive.
Emergency services will continue without interruption.
City offices will resume normal business hours on Friday, Jan. 2.
The city will hold its annual Christmas tree recycling event on Jan. 3, at the Killeen Special Events Center located at 3301 S WS Young Dr., from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All ornaments, lights, tinsel, and other decorations must be removed prior to dropping off trees. There is no charge to have your tree recycled.
