Joseph served as an Executive Director of the Refuge Corporation, which gave him the opportunity to collaborate with various community organizations, city officials, and community leaders. This collaborative approach has allowed him to address a wide range of community concerns and issues, including homelessness, women's and men's shelters, drug abuse and addictions, and support for schools and students.
One of the pressing issues that Joseph recognizes is food insecurity and the presence of food deserts in his community. He has served as a council member in Copperas Cove, and as a an Elder for his church, where he provides spiritual guidance and support to families, couples, and individuals, recognizing the importance of addressing not only physical needs but also emotional and spiritual well-being.
