What kind of garbage can I put in the container?

Place typical household garbage in the container. Examples of what not to place in the container are:

  • Dead Animals
  • Flammable Liquids or Solids
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Hot Ashes
  • Medical Waste (Exposed Needles)
  • Motor Oil
  • Paints
  • Solvents

In the interest of container cleanliness, we encourage you to use plastic bags for your garbage and to periodically clean out the container with water. Do not pack trash in your container too tightly or place objects of such length that could lodge against the sides of the container, thereby preventing or impeding the emptying of your container.
