KILLEEN, Texas (Feb. 20, 2025) – The City of Killeen’s Motown in Downtown event has been rescheduled to March 1 due to forecasted cold weather on Saturday, Feb. 22, the origin scheduled date.
The event will take place Saturday, March 1, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. This free event will be in the heart of Historic Downtown Killeen at 200 East Avenue D and offers an evening of music, fun and nostalgia.
Motown in Downtown will feature live entertainment capturing the spirit and energy of the Motown era, including Unity Line Dance, Toni Ringgold, Neidra Lemon, Torie Montgomery featuring TJ Bell, and the Soulicious Band. There will also be a classic car showcase and a best-dressed competition where attendees can show off their retro styles. The event also includes a variety of food trucks and vendors, as well as family-friendly activities.
The event will begin with a presentation designating Killeen as a “Music Friendly City” from the Governor’s office.
