The City of Killeen opened more than 100 summer jobs today, and students age 16 and older are encouraged to apply.
Each year, the City expands its staff to keep up with the demands of summer programs between May and August. The schedule for most summer hire positions coincides with the Killeen Independent School District school calendar.
“Summer hires make it possible to provide aquatics operations and keep our parks, public grounds and golf course in excellent condition during the busy summer season,” said Brett Williams, executive director of community services. “Not only is this program a great way for the City to provide more services, but it is also a tremendous opportunity for young people to get work experience over the school break.”
