Free event aims to connect youth to local opportunities.
The City of Killeen will host a free Youth Resource Fair September 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Killeen Community Center, 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
The event is open for all ages and will include fun activities for kids including snow cones, face painting and balloon twisting. K&Q Inspiration Book Fair will also be onsite.
Middle and high school students and their parents will benefit from informative sessions on topics like job interviews and internet safety.
All participants can visit booths to receive valuable information regarding opportunities, partnerships and resources available to the youth in Killeen from organizations like Educated Angels and Boys & Girls Club.
