The City of Killeen’s Public Works’ Solid Waste Division will place roll-off containers throughout the City on October 13-14 for a fall cleanup event, allowing residents to dispose of their additional waste and bulk items at no cost.
On Friday, Oct. 13, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 14, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Solid Waste will have roll-off containers located throughout the City for disposal of bulk items and additional household waste only.
The following locations will have roll-off containers available for use:
Killeen Special Events Center – Gravel lot Clear Creek Water Tower
3301 South W S Young Drive 6520 Clear Creek Road
Long Branch Park – Parking lot Conder Park – Parking lot
1101 Branch Drive 810 Conder St.
The Killeen Transfer Station will also be open on Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7a.m. to 4p.m.
An active ID and City of Killeen utility bill is required to utilize the containers. Hazardous waste, tires, vehicle parts, liquids, batteries, rocks or dirt, and explosives will not be accepted. Construction and demolition materials and brush cannot be placed in the containers, but will be accepted at the transfer station.
