Citizens have opportunity to ask questions and get updates on their specific district
KILLEEN, Texas (Sept. 14, 2023) – The City of Killeen councilmembers are inviting community members to the second annual Special Workshop and Townhall on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6p.m. at City Hall (101 North College Street).
“Our council members are trying to create as many opportunities as possible to hear from citizens and to keep our residents informed,” Mayor Debbie Nash-King said. “We encourage community members to attend, as this is another method for the community to engage with the mayor and council.”
Councilmembers voted to hold an annual townhall each year around the month of October in an effort to promote transparency and help hold all accountable. All Councilmembers will have the opportunity to present their mission, vision, direction and any special projects related to their district and constituents. Mayor Nash-King and City Manager, Kent Cagle, will also attend.
Citizens are invited to participate and ask questions on items related to the agenda. Council will be ready to listen, as well as inform and educate our community members.
The meeting agenda will be posted to the City’s website prior to the townhall and can be found at www.KilleenTexas.gov/CouncilMeetings. This meeting and all city council meetings can be viewed live or recorded at that web address. This can also be viewed on the Government Channel, Spectrum Cable 10. Regular workshops and meetings are held on Tuesdays each month at 5p.m. (excluding fifth Tuesdays).
