‘Movies in Your Park’ continues Friday

“Lightyear” is next of three remaining films for summer series

KILLEEN, Texas (June 22, 2023) – Killeen’s free Movies in Your Park series will continue Friday, June 23 with a showing of “Lightyear.”

This rest of the summer lineup is: 

  • June 23 – Lightyear 
  • July 7 – Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile 
  • July 21 – Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

All screenings will be at the Killeen Athletic Complex (2201 East Veterans Memorial Boulevard) and the festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. Movies will begin shortly after dusk. The movies are free, but there will be food and craft vendors who will be selling items to purchase.

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, snacks, and refreshments. Please do not bring alcohol, glass containers, or pets.

“Lightyear,” from Disney/Pixar, is an animated film that portrays the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy from “Toy Story”. “Lightyear” follows the legendary space ranger on an intergalactic adventure alongside ambitious recruits, Izzy, Mo and Darby, and his robot companion Sox. The film is rated PG.
