The City of Killeen will participate in the annual National Arbor Day celebration by planting trees in our community on Friday, April 28. The event will take place at Long Branch Park (1101 Long Branch Drive) at 9a.m.
Volunteers can join City of Killeen employees and beautify the community. Citizens and staff will be planting a total of 15 trees, which will include cedar elm and live oaks. Mayor Debbie Nash-King will be presenting an official Arbor Day proclamation.
The City of Killeen has had a Tree City USA designation since 2007 for its ongoing commitment to protecting and planting trees.
