City partners to offer rapid testing and vaccines

KILLEEN, Texas (Jan. 14, 2022) – The City of Killeen has again partnered with Killeen Independent School District (KISD) and other area partners to provide free rapid COVID19 testing and vaccines to the public at two service sites opening Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Testing and vaccines will be available at both the Killeen Special Events Center, 3301 S. WS Young Drive and the former Nolan Middle School, 505 E. Jasper Drive, Jan. 18-21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Rapid test results are available 15 minutes after testing. The sites will have testing for anyone 6 years of age and older, and have the Pfizer vaccines for both youth and adults. This includes the Pfizer booster for ages 12 years and older, 5 months after their second dose.

Additionally, there will be a testing site at Central Texas College starting on Saturday, Jan. 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is scheduled to be open every day, Monday – Sunday. This site only offers a saliva PCR test, and results are available within 2 – 4 days after testing.
