A BOIL WATER NOTICE is issued for residents and businesses in the following locations beginning June 18 at 6:30 a.m.:

	402 to 413 Bryce Avenue
420 West Hallmark Avenue
701 to 1002 Houston Street
905 to 1017 San Antonio Street
406 to 411 Short Avenue

City crews will be replacing a fire hydrant and must turn off the water in order to complete the work. Water service will not be available from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Once the hydrant installation is complete, lines will be flushed and water samples will be tested.

Residents in the affected locations are cautioned to BOIL ALL WATER BEFORE CONSUMING beginning at 6:30 a.m. June 18. Residents will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted.

Residents may call the Water and Sewer Services help line at 501-6319 with questions or concerns.

	TCEQ Required Notice:

Due to conditions caused by maintenance of the water system, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires the city of Killeen, PWS 0140006, to notify all customers in the above listed area to boil their water prior to consumption.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you.
