KPR staff can supply the details regarding room availability,
rental fees and reservation deposits.

 Plant a Memorial Tree

The "Living Tree Program" is designed for those desiring to commemorate a person or an event by planting a tree.

Living Tree ProgramInterested persons or groups may select from the following list of trees:

  • Live Oak
  • Pecan
  • Bur Oak
  • Texas Mountain Laurel (tree form)
  • Crepe Myrtle (tree form)
  • Chinquapin Oak
  • Afghanistan Pine
  • Texas Redbud
  • Red Oak


The tree size requested determines the cost of the tree. There is a minimum of $75.00.

Trees will be planted in Killeen, on public land, including Parks and City Facilities. Donors may request a specific planting site and every effort will be made to accommodate that request. If no site is specified, or if the donor's requested site cannot be accommodated, the Parks and Public Grounds Superintendent will choose the planting site.

The Killeen Parks and Recreation staff will order and plant all trees. Donors will be contacted prior to the planting. A card, acknowledging the gift, will be sent to the honoree.
Payment for the tree can be made at the Killeen Community Center.
