PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL YOUTH SPORTS.

Special Requests
Special requests will be granted whenever possible; however, they will not be guaranteed.
Roster transactions will be at the discretion of Killeen Parks & Recreation.


Zero-Tolerance Policy
All games are in the hands of the umpires and every player, coach, and spectator is required to respect their authority.  Unsportsmanlike conduct such as profane language, indulgence of alcoholic beverages before or during a game, fighting, etc. will not be tolerated. Any  unsportsmanlike conduct by players, coaches, and/or spectators may result in the removal of the individual from the facility and/or league. Violations of the above rule by a parent may result in the removal of his/her child from the team for the remainder of the season.

Volunteer Coaches

We are always looking for individuals who are interested in coaching our youth leagues. If you have any experience playing and/or coaching or would like to coach any of the following sports, please complete a coaching application.


 

Youth Leagues

Co-Ed T-Ball (4 Year Olds)

T-Ball, the starter league for our youth baseball/softball program is offered for boys & girls 4 years of age. T-Ball is played with the players hitting from a tee. The season consists of 8 games. All participants will receive a t-shirt and cap. Participation awards are distributed at the conclusion of the season. All games are played at either Lions Club Park or the Killeen Athletic Complex. PLAYER AGES ARE DETERMINED AS OF JANUARY 1, 2013 FOR GIRLS AND MAY 1, 2013 FOR BOYS. Players must provide their own glove, shoes, & bat. The season will commence on April 5th.

Girls’ Coach Pitch (5 & 6 Year Olds)

Coach Pitch is offered for to girls 5-6 years of age. Coach Pitch is played with a coach pitching to their respective team. The season consists of 8 games. All participants will receive a t-shirt and cap. Participation awards are distributed at the conclusion of the season. All games are played at Lions Club Park. The season consists of 8 games. All participants will receive a shirt, pants, & a cap. Players must provide their own glove, shoes, and bat. The season will commence on May 4th.

Girls’ Softball is compiled of  three divisions - 10 & Under (9 & 10 year olds), 12 & Under (11 & 12 year olds), and 15 & Under (13-15 year olds). Age will be determined as of January 1, 2013. All games will be played at Lions Club Park. The season consists of 8 games. All participants will receive a shirt & pants. Players must provide their own glove, shoes, and bat. The season will commence on May 4th.

Boys’ Minor League Baseball (9 - 12 Year Olds)

Boys' Minor League Baseball will not advance to the playoffs. Boys' Minor League Baseball is compiled of two divisions - 10 & Under (9 & 10 year olds) and 12 & Under (11 & 12 year olds). Age will be determined as of May 1, 2013. All games will be played at Lions Club Park Baseball Fields. Playing time is determined entirely by the coaches. A draw will be used to distribute the players onto teams. The goal of the draw is to create league parody. All players are required to attend the player camp to determine their skill level. All games will be played under the Little League rules and regulations. Teams will play a minimum of 10 games. All participants will receive a shirt and cap. Players must provide their own pants, glove, shoes, and bat.

All players are required to attend tryouts on Saturday, February 23 @ 6pm at Lions Club Park.

NO ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BE OFFERED FOR BOYS’ BASEBALL AGES 9 – 14. ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER IN PERSON & MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION:
1. A COPY THEIR CHILD’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE,
2. SHOW PROOF OF THEIR CHILD’S RESIDENCY VIA:
• The parents’/guardians’ driver’s license address (must include their current address),
• The parents’/guardians’ voter’s card (must include their current address),
• The child’s report card
• The cable bill for the household in which the child legally resides.        
3) MUST RESIDE WITHIN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING CITIES WITH THE FOLLOWING ZIP CODES:
• Killeen – 76540, 76541, 76542, 76543, 76544, 76547, 76548, & 76549
• Harker Heights – 76542, 76543, & 76548
• Nolanville – 76559
• Fort Hood – 76544
• Copperas Cove - 76522
