Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month unless otherwise scheduled by the Commission. The meetings are held at the Utility Collections main conference room at 5 p.m. with workshops starting at 4 p.m.

The purpose of this program is to promote the development and redevelopment of North Killeen. This program includes incentives for residential and commercial business structures' rehabilitation, expansion and/or new construction.
The program has been adopted for a period of five years starting September 22, 2015.
In addition to the North Killeen Revitalization Program, the City of Killeen also approved new Tax Abatement Guidelines and Criteria for this area of the city as an additional incentive for development and redevelopment. Click here for more information.
The Planning and Economic Development Department helps guide future development, redevelopment, and community enhancement in the City with the goal of ensuring quality land development and preservation of the community’s unique historic resources in accordance with the Killeen Comprehensive Plan.
