On March 13, 1990, the Killeen City Council established the Arts Commission. The Arts Commission is responsible for the development of community resource to support the Arts and multi-cultural enrichment programs in Killeen. The Commission is also responsible for the development of tourism and the convention and hotel industry through the use of Cultural Arts grants under Texas Tax Code, Chapter 351.
The FY 2018 Arts Commission Grant Cycle is now in progress. The Killeen Arts Commission will be accepting grant applications from organizations that are planning to hold an event between the months of October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.
If your organization is interested in applying for a grant, you must send an informed representative, other than an Arts Commission member, to attend the following mandatory Grant Application Workshop:
Friday, March 31, 2017 @ 10:00 a.m.
Failure to attend the workshop will disqualify an organization from being considered for funding. The workshops will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 101 North College Street, Killeen, Texas, 76541.
The FY 2018 Arts Grant Calendar cycle, which lists important mandatory meetings, is attached. Also attached for your reference is a Grant Application Quick Reference Guide.
