Summer job opportunities with the City of Killeen include lifeguards, water safety instructors, and cashiers at the Family Aquatics Center and two city pools.
The city will also be hiring grounds maintenance, drainage, and recycling workers.
Each year, the city staff expands to keep up with the demands of summer programs. The schedule for most summer hire jobs coincides with Killeen Independent School District school calendar.
“Summer hires have an immeasurable impact on our programs during the summer months,” said Brett Williams, director of parks and recreation. “Without these hires it would be impossible for us to conduct our aquatics operations or to keep our parks, pavilions, and playgrounds in tip top shape during our busiest time of the year.”
Applicants don’t have to be students but must be at least 16 years old. A full list of summer hire opportunities is available on the city’s website, www.killeentexas.gov/hr. Applications will be accepted through March 10 unless otherwise noted.
